Naturopathic wellness

About me

I am Di Wallace, a qualified Naturopath, with more than 20 years practice experience.

I started my professional career as a chef in Europe, working in Greece and the UK. That was a long time ago, however, that relationship with food and nutritional ingredients, ignited my desire to studying the healing properties of foods, nutrients and herbs.

I returned to Sydney, in the early 1990s and pursued this curiosity academically. After getting the appropriate qualifications I set-up a Remedial Massage and Naturopathic practice in Newtown, Sydney, helping many human and animal patients, delivering natural remedies and healing treatments, for more than a decade.

In 2003, I established a naturopathic cooking school called Kitchen Alchemy, focused on educating people on the health giving and healing qualities of foods while creating exciting and truly nourishing cuisine.

I continued my naturopathic journey, when I relocated to the South Coast, I established a stretch and flexibility studio as well as a naturopathic practice focusing on skin conditions in and around Wollongong.

I was then head hunted by a naturopathic supplements company to help them grow and build their brand by supporting their practitioners. This eventually evolved into managing health practices, for a number of years.

Now, another life transformation has brought me to the beautiful Central Coast, and here I am. However, now I have decided to focus my practice on helping dogs.

I am happiest when I am combining my love for animals with my passion for natural healing, delivering health and quality of life to my patients

My approach is very simple. I aim to understand your dog’s unique problem, and design a treatment plan for your dog, not a generic condition. Using a combination remedies and therapies I focus on providing

Acute symptomatic relief

Stimulate cellular activity that improves immediate quality of life whilst at the same time nourish the cells with the appropriate food/nutrients they require to affect change.

Address immediate emotional imbalances

Using either homoeopathic or flower essences I help calm your canine baby. Dogs do not want to disappoint you, but sometimes need a little help to calm themselves.

Longer-term rebuilding

Depending on the ailment, longer term restorative treatments are recommended. Dietary changes along with herbal or nutritional medicine assist with adrenal stress (burnout).

Naturopathic therapies

Active Elements

An organic body contains twelve vital mineral (tissue) salts and a proper balance of these is required for normal cell function. The body regulates its health and healing process by regulating its cell’s mineral levels.  When cellular balance is disturbed, various ailments and symptoms follow.

Each salt has different biochemical properties and restoring a balance is foundational to holistic health.

Imbalances of salts may be addressed by administering natural mineral supplements. These can be prescribed in acute or chronic health conditions to address varying symptoms and ailments.

Naturopathic herbal medicine

Herbal Medicine

Herbal medicine has its origins in ancient cultures. It involves the medicinal use of plants to treat disease and enhance general health and wellbeing. Herbs contain several naturally occurring chemicals (constituents) that act on different systems within the body in a similar fashion to many pharmaceutical preparations. Many pharmaceutical medications are based on a single active ingredient derived from a plant source, for example Aspirin.

Like other prescription medications, herbal medicine should always be prescribed by a qualified and registered practitioner.

Naturopathic homeopathy

Homeopathy

Homeopathy is a type of complementary or alternative medicine that’s based on the use of highly diluted substances.

Homeopaths believe that physical disease often has mental and emotional components, so a homeopathic diagnosis includes physical symptoms (such as stiffness on rising) and the current emotional and psychological state (like anxiety and restlessness). In addition, the acute verses chronic component of the symptoms affects the prescriptions strength and frequency of doses.

Naturopathic bush flower essences

Australian Bush Flower Essences

Australian Bush Flower Essences have a rich history spanning thousands of years. Indigenous Australians used flowers for emotional and physical healing, while ancient civilisations in Egypt, India, Asia, Europe, and South America also embraced their therapeutic properties.

Flower Essences treat imbalances at a higher level, promoting emotional and spiritual balance. By addressing the root causes, Flower Essences enhance overall wellbeing, providing a holistic approach to healing the whole person.

The Australian Bush Flower Essences can work immediately in many situations, but as the effects of Flower Essences are cumulative, for long-term issues, it could take from two to four weeks to see changes. They’re not to be confused with essential oils, which many are toxic to our canine friends, Flower Essences are safe to take either orally as drops, or topically depending on your pets’ situation.
